October Fun

Happy October, people!!  Us New England folks pride ourselves on our Fall season, especially October, but this is going to be an especially fun month for the Meyl household.  Both my birthday and Nate's birthday are in October (only 5 days apart) and since we'll be celebrating my 30th, Nate’s throwing a party for me next weekend.  But even more exciting than that, Nate's sister, Melissa (aka Missy) is getting married at the end of this month.  As if this wasn’t enough, we’re also making some fun updates to our condo, so this month is going to be filled with some majorly exciting times. 

To kick off our month of parties and new designs, I wanted to share Missy’s bridal shower that we hosted in August.  Missy’s an art teacher and is an incredibly creative and cool person.  We wanted something that represented her style so her sister, Caitlin, came up with the fantastic idea of having a pink leopard theme to the shower.

The fun part of this design is we could make it funky but we didn’t want it to go too far into tacky (i.e. Jersey Shore).  Therefore we embraced a hot pink and black color scheme with pops of leopard throughout. 

Besides having a blast creating an event to celebrate Missy, Nate had a menu to die for.  Check back tomorrow to read his post about the food.  All stationary designs were created by Trinity St. Studio.  Enjoy!!
