Protests in Egypt

I thought it was appropriate to take a break from the usual glamour and fun to acknowledge what is going on in Egypt.  Regardless of what your views are, the situation is terrible and it's devastating to see not only the lives that have been lost but the outright violence taking place.  I'm not an expert in world affairs by any means (I actually needed to go online to make sure I understood exactly what the protesters are so angry about), but I find myself sad over this and felt like it was important to call attention to the tragedy that is taking place.

Social, political, and economic injustices by our leaders should never be acceptable but I feel the violence and anger that has been taking place is the greatest injustice.  Every one's voice should be heard but when it results in destruction and turmoil, in my opinion, you've lost your voice.  President Hosni Mubarak may have been thrown from leadership in Egypt but at what cost?

I hope a resolution can be found and that much is learned from this horrific ordeal.  I think we should all take a moment to reflect on what has happened and put it in perspective towards our daily lives.

Have a safe and relaxing weekend and I'll see you all on Monday.
