Grasscloth Wallpaper

I'm happy to announce that we've knocked another to-do item off our list of design updates we need to make to the condo.  This week, my wallpaper guy completed the grasscloth wallpaper that went up in the entryway area of our condo.  The wallpaper is a gorgeous metallic green from Seabrook Wallcoverings which compliments the silver sage paint throughout the room very well.

The image above was taken from the dining room area.  It was difficult to get a picture facing forward because our kitchen counter and the big support column to the right was cutting off the picture.  Also, please excuse the horribly styled console table.  That is definitely going to be a weekend project.  I love my Jonathan Adler vase but I think it's amazing aqua color is competing too much against the grasscloth wallpaper.  I also wanted to complete this post before being able to get flowers and dig out the other items that I know are going on this table.  You'll get to see the final product soon enough.
I really wanted something that defined this entryway, but since it's an open floor plan it couldn't conflict with the color throughout the room.  To give this hallway it's own identity, I decided to wallpaper just this wall and keep the other walls in the silver sage green that is painted throughout the entire room.  I couldn't be happier with how this was achieved with the color complimenting the silver sage paint but texture giving this area it's own purpose.
This image is from the front door and gives you an idea as the impression the wallpaper gives when you first walk in our home.

I just love how the texture in grasscloth adds such depth to a room.
And you can see from the image above how the subtle metallic finish really stands out in the right light.

So with the new bench cushion and wallpaper we've got two updates down...next up, #4 arrived this week as well.  Stay tuned for the direction we decided to take for this art ("we" means that this was Nate's request).
